Christmas!!

Christmas is an awesome time to celebrate Jesus's birth. It also is a great time to get your toy wishes answered! This christmas I have asked for a GoPro Hero 4 Session, which can shoot 1080p at 60fps. This would help me tremendously in my youtube work. I plan to mount it on a remote-controlled tank that I have, and maybe even a submarine!

Also, for Christmas I would like some legos, because I really like building things.
Specifically, the undersea exploration set, because I have always been interested in underwater things like scuba diving and fish. Also, Lego increases your motor skills, and helps create the engineers of tomorrow by exposing them to building and architecture. I also am quite interested in starting mountain biking, because that would make a great youtube video!
The last thing that I would like is a large tripod for the GoPro camera. This would allow me to film sporting events or other populous areas without people getting in my way.

Horray!

As of today, I have fixed my F4U Corsair. Previously in this blog, I showed you the video about the crash, but now I am here to say that all is well. I used standard clear packing tape to fix the wings then flew it in no-wind conditions, and it held up great! Thus concludes the saga of the F4U Corsair.

F4U Corsair Crash!!

My UMX Corsair sadly lost a wing today after me. being a fool, flying it in winds in excess of 10 miles an hour.  The wind buffeted around until the tiny plane could take it no more. But, I did get to tape it back together, and hopefully it will be fine.

1/100 Scale F-86 and MiG-15

Some pics of a model I have just completed.

Submarine Force Library and Museum

This weekend, I headed down to Groton, CT to see their submarine base and the USS Nautilus museum. It actually had five submarines, including the Nautilus, X-1, a Japanese midget submarine, and a replica of the Turtle.

It was a great trip, well worth the drive, and I would recommend it to anyone who is even remotely interested.

My ROV: Part 1

This is my homebuilt ROV, remotely-operated vehicle, that I am in the process of building. As you can see, I already have the framework done, made from CPVC pipes that I got from Ace Hardware.

New rubber-band powered airplane I just got, a P-47 Thunderbolt, an iconic WWII aircraft affectionately referred to as the "Jug", short for juggernaut.

USS Gato Class submarine

The USS Gato Class submarine made up the backbone of the US World War II submarine fleet, the submarines sinking over 30% of Japan's navy, including eight aircraft carriers.  Today, these vessels have been faithfully recreated by Lindbergh's SS-212 USS Gato model kit, shown here.
